it's me, hi!
My passion is to reveal authentic beauty in every person and every story.
Being a woman, I understand all too well that authenticity in front of a camera is hard to find these days. What is deemed beautiful, organic, and natural is often photoshopped, overdone, and impossible. I don't do that. I love the genuine and real moments where the picture is blurry because we all were laughing so hard in the moment. I love the moments where maybe the pose wasn't perfect, but the chemistry was. Don't get me wrong, I love me some editorial drama-filled photography, but I will never seek to achieve anything that strips someone of their love for who they really are, in their own skin. Everyone is beautiful JUST as they are, and my job is to highlight and celebrate that with you.
I wasn't always a wedding photographer
When I was little, I used to spend my summers off from school shooting "music videos" around the house (we'll call them that), and I would edit the footage we shot with the song we were lip-syncing to, and challenge myself to think creatively. I've always allowed my creative side to be nurtured, and made time for myself to express it - whether through playing piano and singing, crafting videos with friends and family, or making up dance moves in my free time. In my early 20's, I discovered that photography could be so much more than what I had seen it be for many years - setting an impossible standard for its viewers to achieve. I decided that by being creative in this way, I could also change the industry and value each subject in front of my lens just the way they are, hopefully encouraging them to do the same for themselves after leaving each session with me. I hope to make you feel just as special and unique!
